Skin Pigmentation

Pigmentation terms as the coloring of the skin, hair, mucous membranes, and retina of the eye. Skin pigmentation will affect the color of the skin. It affects due to the removal of the pigment melanin from the skin, which is produced by specialized cells known as melanocytes. The skin gets tan or darker shade of color from a pigment called melanin. Special cells in the skin produce melanin. When these cells become damaged or dead, it affects the melanin production in the skin. Some pigmentation disorders affect just the patches of the skin and others will affect the entire body skin.
